Qualifications

As an English teacher in China, you need to:

• Be a native English speaker;
• Hold at least a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline, pervious teaching experience preferred;
• Have an excellent mental and physical health, as teaching overseas could be very challenging in many ways; (Health certificate will be required by most host schools before signing contract.)
• Commit yourself for at least 6 months or even one year as required by many schools. (Summer Program is an exception).

Time to start

All Chinese schools and universities have two semesters a year. Your teaching job starts either in Fall or in Spring depending on the school requirement:

• Fall Semester runs from early September to end of January.
• Spring Semester runs from early March to mid July.
