Apply for a Teaching Position

Please send us the following after completing the on-line application form

Online Application

  • resume (send by email or mail to the address below)
  • three letters of references from people who have direct knowledge of your qualifications for the teaching position. (send by email or mail);
  • 500-word essay describing your interest in teaching and living in China (email text, not attachment, and mail a copy to the address below);
  • copy of college diploma*;
  • copy of passport (picture page)* (or include your birth date if passport not available yet);
  • two passport size photos;
  • $100 application fee (non-refundable) payable to The 21st Century Institute.

* You can send us copies of your diploma and passport afterwards if you currently do not have them yet.

After Your Application

After we receive your completed on-line application, resume, reference letters, 500-word essay, copies of diploma and passport, two passport size photos, and $100 application fee, we will:

  1. Send you a letter confirming receipt of your application;
  2. Match your interest and qualification to a specific school;
  3. Arrange a telephone interview if matching is perfect, or notify you of temporarily no matching position and saving your profile in our database for future use;
  4. Present you the contract with the host school and finalize the terms and conditions in the contract;
  5. Send you the invitation letter on behalf of the school;
  6. Assist you in your Chinese visa application (fees applicable);

    Visa Services

  7. Arrange a one-day orientation program when you arrive in China (You will pay $100 for the orientation program upon signing the contract and it is required by the host school);
  8. Assist you in airline reservation and travel arrangement

    Travel Services

  9. Follow through the whole application and placement process until you finally arrive and settle down in the host school.

Cost for Placement and Program Administration

Application Fee – $100 non-refundable application fee to be sent in together with your application materials, which covers our program administration cost.

Placement Fee – This fee is charged upon signing your contract for the one-day orientation program in China.
