Cross-Culture Courses

The Cross-Culture Training is an intensified course providing an insight into the country's current dynamic economy and business practices. Factors that influence doing business in China, including business ethics, business-related rules, regulations and laws, are examined. Held in English, the lecturers and speakers are appointed business professors, senior executives of foreign and local companies. This one-day workshop allows you to expose yourself to a virtual business environment in China while learning some useful Chinese phrases.

One-Day Workshop

This seminar consists of six sections (50 minutes each).

Morning Classes

Section 1: Essential Chinese history, geography, languages, and ethnics.

Section 2: China’s political system, government structures, and laws.

Section 3: Chinese economic environment, forms of incorporation, and procedures for registering a new business.

Afternoon Classes

Section 4: Taxation, business related rules, regulations, and laws.

Section 5: Chinese business culture and courtesy, how to greet and address people, proper protocol at meetings, negotiation strategy, when "yes" means "no", corporate gifts and entertainment, essential business attire, and local management style. This section features role playing and encourages questions and feedback.

Section 6: Simple Chinese phrases that evoke a favorable response in people you meet. You will learn key words needed for daily use and business occasions, greetings, asking directions, event etiquette and customs, shopping, and exchanging currency.

Two-Day Workshop

Day One: Exactly the same as One-Day Training described above.

Day Two: A custom-designed workshop that focuses on your specific business needs. You will tell us where and what type of business you want to do in China. We will then provide a market analysis based on your industry and your intended location. This will include details of the local government, business culture, local business community strengths and weaknesses, things to do and not to do, and problem-solving.
